South-east Queensland summers are no joke. We install AC and DC ceiling fans across Brisbane, including reinforcing the ceiling box on older Queenslanders so a heavy modern fan doesn't pull the plaster down in five years.
Signs you need ceiling fans
- You're sweating through a Brisbane summer with no fan
- Existing fan is wobbling, ticking or running noisy
- Want quiet DC fans for the bedrooms
- Renovating, upgrading from a light-only fitting
What's included with every Voltech ceiling fans job
- Supply or install of any major fan (Hunter Pacific, Big Ass, Aeratron, MR Ken)
- Wall controller or RF remote
- Box reinforcement for older Queenslander timber ceilings
- Balance test and final sound check
- Old fan removal and disposal
Pricing, what you can expect
Most domestic ceiling fans jobs in Brisbane fall in a known range, and we always put a fixed price on the quote before we start. Where we can give you a ballpark up-front, here it is, but we'll still come and look at the job properly before we commit to a number.
- Typical Voltech price starts at $345.
- Quote is free during business hours, no call-out fee for standard quotes.
- Fixed-price written quote, valid for 30 days.
- Card or bank-transfer payment accepted on the day.
Suburbs we work in for ceiling fans
We do ceiling fans work daily across south-east Brisbane, from Carina, Carindale and Camp Hill in the inner-east through to Wynnum and Manly on the bay. See the full service area.
Why Voltech?
We're a Camp Hill-based, owner-operated electrical business. John holds the QLD electrical contractor's licence, carries $20M public liability insurance, and is on every single job we do. There's no call centre, no rotating crew of contractors, and no hidden charges. We'd rather quote one job properly than ten jobs with surprises.
Frequently asked questions
DC vs AC fans, which should I get?
DC fans are quieter, use ~70% less power, and have more speed steps, but cost more upfront. For bedrooms we recommend DC. For living areas with high ceilings, AC is fine.
Can you reinforce my ceiling for a heavy fan?
Yes. Older Brisbane homes (Queenslander, post-war) often have light-only blocks. We open up, fit a reinforced fan-rated box and patch up, usually no painting needed.
